Zoning Rewrite Update!

The Zoning & Planning Board, along with staff, are continuing their hard work on rewriting the Zoning Chapters. All drafts can be found here:

Chapters 18A (which will overwrite the current 18 due to renumbering in the rewrite) and 23 were approved and are already codified. Chapters 1-3, 5 and 7 have been forward to the Council. All these were process/administrative in nature. Chapter 4 is "Permits" and Chapter 6 "Conditional Use Procedures" may have more text added as the Board refines the remaining chapters, so they are on hold for now. The Board continues to review 2-3 chapters each month to fine tune and update the zoning regulations.
The Zoning Board typically meets the 3rd Thursday of each month, but are moving meeting dates during the Zoning Rewrite in an effort to have all board members present, as well as they may hold more than one meeting/month. These meetings are open to the public, are held at City Hall located at 206 S. Main Street, and we encourage you to attend! If you wish to submit comments prior to the meetings, you may always send those (no later than 5PM the day of meeting) to Kelly or Crystal via email. ksmith@threeforksmontana.us or cturner@threeforksmontana.us
